Videos From Jordan

Doing a quick search on Youtube for Jordan yields some rather interesting results worth sharing with the online community. The first video is a cheesy television ad for Daraghmeh. The second is some out takes from Arab Superstar for Jordanians. The third is a Jordanian remake of Resident Evil. The fourth is a video of a great governmental teacher doing what he does best. And the fifth is by far the best, a couple getting married by walking along Abdoun bridge. Be sure to check out Talaween as well.

Epic Failiure

The term fail on the web is given to someone that fails at something miserably. The internet is so dedicated to this kind of stuff, they've made an entire channel on Youtube for it.

Its somehow like home videos submitted to television but without the cheesy presenter and more times the fail. Here are a few hand picks from the fail blog channel that I thought were the best.

A guy finds no lemonade at Burger King and decides to call 911. If you've ever played GTA IV, you'll think this guy is Little Jacob.

When the letter 'b' is swapped with the letter 's', it can make catastrophic results. This man was giving a lecture and failed badly.

If you thought Mother Russia was bad enough, you should see Japan. Trains there rival India for craziness. Not for the claustrophobic.

This is what too much sports does to you. When you're talking about something very serious and someone comes and does the impossible.

Pickings from Makezine

I usually watch these Makezine weekend project videos, even though I've never done any of the projects, except this one. The maker of these videos is a guy nicknamed Kipkay, who has an interesting way of combining normal scenes of himself with scenes where he pre-records his voice, to make a superb how to.

Unfortunately, the Make magazine he refers to is in the United States and I'm still trying to figure a way to download it, maybe by a torrent or something. However the website of the magazine is rather good, but if you enjoy projects then be sure to visit Instructables as well. Here are two videos of the many I found.

Some Brainiac Stuff

A few facts from my favorite show that I can only watch on the web, Brainiac.

- A human eye can be measured in megapixels - 254 mp to be exact.
- The best paper airplane you can make is from an A4 sheet of paper.
- You can make a rocket out of a water bottle tank and some air.
- Want to make the smelliest fart? Try sprouts.
- Eating some chili will make the funniest facial expression.
- You can fold a piece of paper, no mater the size, 9 times only.
- Packing helium balloons in your packaging can make it lighter.

And quite alot more, go to Youtube and search for Brainiac. I'm sure you'll be amazed.

Making Films

We were bored, one day, at our friend Yazans house.

As us being the high-tech people we are, we decided to entertain ourselves by making a short movie.

It was a comedy, since comedies are fun and easy to make.

We had the horror film Saw in our minds, so we decided to make a short parody of it.

Yazan agreed to be the torturer, and I was the camera man (a mobile phone, but good quality), Khalid was the tortured.

The end product was a few short films, I brought them home and spent 4 hours putting all the pieces together, then adding suitable beginnings and endings.

I then, after taking the agreement of the actors, chose to put it up on Youtube, for the world to see.

I put along with it another film, which I act in, a short parody of Bad Boys, which was originally for our english project.

Watch the films and enjoy!

Queen Rania On Youtube

Royalty and professional hit modernity and technology, broadening the perspective of the internet and its content in the Arab World.

Yes, Queen Rania herself now 'video blogs' on Youtube, mainly about women in the arab world.

And, as Bakkouz has already said, HM does not hope to change the world with a few videos, but she's taking the first step towards it.

Here is her first video on the subject, under the name Send Me Your Stereotypes.

How To Download Videos From Youtube

I'm actually surprised by the amount of people that still did not know how to download a video from Youtube, so they may then watch the video without internet access, or on another device such as a moblie for example.

Therefore, I will show them how to, and relieve them from thier misery.

If you want to download a video from IKBIS.COM, read my post on the subject!

Step 1: Go to your video, and copy the address.

Step 2: Go to the following website.

Step 3: Paste the address into the box, and press download.

Step 4: Click on the download button below that comes up and save.

Step 5: Now go to this website, and download the player.

Step 7: Open the player, then choose Yes.

Step 8: Open the video you downloaded.

Enjoy!

Makezine On Youtube

Now, if only I was in America, I would definitely buy the Make Magazine. It talks about making unusual stuff at home, or your "garage" as they say on the site. Everything from small robots to jet engines have their own home on Make, as they give you step by step instructions on how you can make each one inside the magazine.

MAKE brings the do-it-yourself mindset to all the technology in your life. MAKE is loaded with exciting projects that help you make the most of your technology at home and away from home. This is a magazine that celebrates your right to tweak, hack, and bend any technology to your own will.

Not in America? No problem, for a person for Make called Bre Pettis exists. He presents you every weekend with projects straight from the magazine.

Hosted on YouTube, his entire videos are here. Be sure to leave a comment for him. There are quite alot of projects you'll enjoy. One of them is the jet engine 'candle', where he uses a jar, some wire, a diffuser and the methanol fuel (in the form of antifreeze) to make a cool 'blast'. See the video here.

Be sure also to check out the other videos he has, and also see the video on the faire they did. You should also download the videos to your computer so you can watch them later, by using something such as VideoDownloader or Unplug. Have fun!

Ikbis, an arab's Youtube

Ikbis (إكبس), is a word in arabic meaning "click". Now, it's a video portal, an arab's equivilant of Youtube. Ikbis is surprisingly popular, with quite alot of videos, and not all of them are arabic. Ikbis was released in 20 November 2005, and is running and gaining new people and videos everyday. What did you expect from the first video sharing website in the Arab World?

Ikbis is the first photo and video sharing service in the Arab World. Ikbis is part of TootCorp, a media company based in Arabia and founded in September 2005. TootCorp has special interest in citizen media and self-publishing. Other services by TootCorp include Toot and Toot Advertising Network (TAN).

With that said, let me introduce you to the Laughing Toy:
