From London To Jordan

Around four years ago, when I was in grade five, I thought up the idea of going to live in Jordan.

You see, our family always went in the summer holidays to Jordan as a way of going on vacation as well as seeing our extended family. The only thing was that we liked it. The problem with that was the life in Jordan was not the same.

I had seen life in Jordan as relaxing and calm. This was because I was visiting it in the summer, when there was no school. No wonder I felt so great at the time.

So my family took the final decision to move to Jordan. Of course it wasn't fully based on my idea, but I was the one that took the first steps.

Everything was sorted out. We had chosen a school based on our uncles opinions, which we later found out to be quite bad, and my father and mother had chosen their jobs.

Of course, everyone who tries to settle into a new country will know its not an easy job.

Neither was school.

But it all settles down, and you finally get to like the place you're in.

I mean, for one thing, the sun that you take for granted that shines on Jordan almost 300 days a year. Sunshine is one factor that helps fight depression, and it does not shine a lot on other countries out of the middle east.

If I was to say all the great things about the country I'm in, I wouldn't finish.

So next time you're in a prayer, remember to thank god for the country you are in.

Cigarette Packets

Today I was walking on the street that leads to the nearby corner shop, holding my five piasters that I found on the ground, that will buy my a packet of crisps that will fill up my stomach.

But today we come a bit late, and see the aftermaths of the maja3at of smokers. Except this day we saw a weird site. A whole pile of empty cigarettes in front of the shop lie on the ground.

They're all the same color and the same type. I wonder who smoked all these.

Brainiac: Science Abuse

One of the greatest shows we have missed out on must be Brainiac: Science Abuse, or usually known as Brainiac for short.

This British show is an entertainment show where scientists perform experiments that wouldn't be done in your ordinary chemistry lab.

What makes the show so exciting is that it isn't another science lesson, but a rather interesting show that usually involves explosions.

These involve blowing up a car full of eight gallons of petrol, dropping a few grams of caesium into a bathtub, or blowing up a safe with a Challenger II tank.

Sometimes they take in Physics to the mix, such as potential energy which is when a lump of concrete is swung from a side to land just below another scientists face.

It is aired in Britian on Sky One, and if you want to get it here in Jordan, you can on Showtime. Jump over to Discovery Channel who sometimes air the show.

How They Reflect The News

Eight Jewish students where gunned down at a college in Jerusalem, and the BBC news wants to show that to you.

How?

Thousands of people have attended the funerals in Jerusalem of eight students killed by a Palestinian gunman at a Jewish religious college on Thursday.

People at the Mercaz Harav seminary openly wept as a rabbi recited prayers over the bodies of the victims.

Whereas when hundreds of innocent children where left to bleed-to-death in their homes, this wasn't the case.

Drinking 2a6er

My aunt Wesam once sent in a comment, on the hot chocolate post some time ago.

She says that she always imagines me drinking 2a6er (a concentrated sugar solution, poured on sweets), and she has no idea why she imagines that.

I guess its because of the amount of calories I take in everyday, or maybe its my love of chocolate...

Hot chocolate with Kitkat. Ah, bliss.

...or maybe its because I put three teaspoons in my tea.



Mmm, I love tea. Never liked coffee though.
