The Intruder Has A Baby

Remember this post? Well, the pigeon laid two eggs. Somehow, one 'disappeared' (and we suspect its a crow), but the other one hatched. And because pictures mean more than words...

  1. Mabruuk! You're a daddy!! Really, very sweet and I'm glad the baby has thus far not met any neighborhood cats.

  2. ...and the mum has been guarding its baby ever since it hatched! every day she leaves to stand on the opposite wall for 10 -15 min then back to protect the little one (who sometimes is reluctant to nestle under his mum's body,) but she gently pushes him in so he's protected from too much sun or wind!! simply amazing, subhan Allah!

  6. I'm glad I checked back for Mona's mommy-viewpoint. a3njad sub7an Allah, He gives even the birds a sense of maternal care...and even bird-babies a sense of childish rebellion!

  7. Kinzi: The birds nest is about 2 floors above ground, it is cat proof. Only thing to worry about are the crows...

    Mona: Subhan Allah!

Bilal: Rawhi is always licking his chops whenever he sees the pigeon. Its good the nest is on the side of the window that isn't opened.

Tololy: We'll dye it yellow for you, and take a picture of it! :D

    Asoom: Haha, lol. Evil cats.
