Five Likes & Dislikes About Jordan

Having lived here for over two years now, I've decided to compose this list... just for fun (I haven't written everything)

Things I Like About Jordan:

  1. Relatives: well, we didn't have any in London! (except for my dad's cousin)
  2. Cheap copies of DVDs, CDs & PS2 games
  3. Much bigger house (don't have to share my room with my sister anymore! OK, so I still have to put up with Omar, but I'll think of a way to get rid of him soon)
  4. Friends at my new school
  5. Eid
Things I hate about Jordan:
  1. Taxi Drivers. (you must see this post :D)
  2. People who come to the mosque without washing or changing their 5day old socks or brushing their teeth. Have mercy on us PLEASE!
  3. Exams! >:(
  4. The weather: too hot in the summer, too cold now
  5. Internet speed: lucky people in the UK get 8 MB while I have to put up with snail paced 128 KB

  2. I don't agree with you about two things : Weather and Internet speed
Weather is great in Jordan, Just great but it seems you are walking in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Regarding internet speed : Try to convince Dad to get you the 2MB plan, or better, Umniah UMAX 2MB:)

  3. Khaled,
I really enjoyed reading this part. I am glad you enjoy school now. One of the best things we have done is move you to the IG system.
As for the weather I think the spring and autumn in Amman is fantastic (hence the tourist season). The winter is tolerable (and bright most of the time). I think the summers are getting too hot. I personally think the summer in England is fantastic (but try telling that to the English!).
I would add two other items to your list.
The first is security. I feel much more secure in Amman that I did in London where I used to spend a lot of time at night looking over my shoulder. On the other hand driving here in Amman is just a stressful experience because of lack driving manners. Driving in the UK is a pleasurable experience.
